About the Journal

General Introduction

The Vietnamese Journal of Gastroenterology - VJG (ISSN: 1859-0640) is a specialized publication issued by the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology (VNAGE), providing up-to-date scientific information in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology. With a rigorous peer-review system and an editorial board composed of leading experts, the journal ensures high academic standards and serves as a platform for knowledge exchange among doctors, researchers, and medical students.

Aims and Scope

The journal publishes Original Research, Review Articles, and Case Reports with academic and practical value in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of digestive diseases, covering areas such as:

  • Gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases
  • Gastrointestinal endoscopy
  • Digestive surgery
  • Gastrointestinal pharmacology
  • Epidemiology and community-based research

Publication Frequency

VJG publics quarterly in March, June, September and December.

Review process

VJG implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and transparency. Manuscripts undergo initial screening before being sent to two independent reviewers, followed by a final decision made by the Editorial Board.

Open Access Policy

VJG follows an Open Access policy, allowing readers to freely access and cite published research. It also adheres to international ethical publishing standards.
